Wilson Ultra Pro V2 – Diamond padel racket, power

Wilson Ultra Pro V2: power without the weight

The Wilson Ultra Pro V2 is the top model of the Ultra line, made for attackers who want racket-head speed. Black and electric blue finish. Compared with the heavier, stiffer Bela, the Ultra Pro focuses on manoeuvrability: the same attacking ambition, but a frame that is easier to swing.

Design and technical features

Diamond shape, medium balance at 270 mm, weight 365 g and 38 mm profile. The face is built on Double Carbon Wall 2.0: a layer of woven carbon over a layer of carbon mapping, with different stiffness depending on the zone. The Power Pillar runs through the core to stabilise the frame and speed up ball exit, the concave Infinity Edge geometry enlarges the sweet spot, the Opti-Grip texture grips the ball for spin, and the micro-perforated Sublime Grip limits sweat. Stiff EVA core, 100% carbon frame.

Feel and performance on court

On court, the Ultra Pro V2 is livelier than a classic diamond: the medium balance and 365 g let you prepare quickly and string volleys together, where a head-heavy racket penalises you as soon as you are late. The Infinity Edge genuinely enlarges the usable area, making it more forgiving than its attacking positioning suggests.

Who is it for?

For intermediate to advanced players with an attacking game who come to the net and want power without sacrificing manoeuvrability. It is also a good gateway to attacking play for those who find true head-heavy rackets too demanding.
