Wilson Bela Pro V2.5: Fernando Belasteguín's racket
The Wilson Bela Pro V2.5 is the flagship of Wilson's padel range, co-designed with Fernando Belasteguín, former world number one. Red and black finish, the player's signature on the frame, and a face texture that draws the "A" from his signature. The wrist strap carries the words "Un Belasteguín nunca se rinde". It is an attacker's racket, designed to dictate the point.
Design and technical features
Head-heavy balance at 265 mm, weight 370 g ± 10 g, 38 mm profile and a large 542 cm² hitting surface. Primero 3K carbon face with a textured Spin Effect finish, Firm EVA core — a stiff foam that returns energy rather than absorbing it — and a Primero Carbon frame with C2 tubular construction of uniform thickness. The hole pattern is designed for a consistent response across the whole face, and the notches in the throat make two-handed shots easier.
Feel and performance on court
On court, the Bela Pro V2.5 hits hard. The head-heavy balance and Firm EVA core give a crisp, explosive ball exit on the smash and off the glass, and the 542 cm² offer a more generous sweet spot than most rackets at this level. On the other hand, you will feel it in your arm: it is not a racket that forgives being late on the ball.
Who is it for?
For advanced to expert players with a strong arm who play high on the court and look to finish the point. Wilson explicitly designed it for advanced players who want to set the pace. If you are a beginner or prefer control and comfort, go for a teardrop racket with a soft core instead.
